Mataking Island is located on the east coast of Sabah, Borneo, East Malaysia, and is one of the 20 tropical islands that comprise the Semporna islands group.
How to get there
Direct flights are available to Tawau Airport from Kuala Lumpur and via Kota Kinabalu from Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, and more.
From Tawau Airport, transfer time by luxury coach is about 1.20 hrs to the Semporna jetty.
From Semporna, a speedboat will take you to Mataking Island (approximately 40 minutes).
Please inquire for recommended flights and speedboat schedules as the last boat is late afternoon.
